NHTSA 25V111000- The defect
- Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2017-2025 Coachmen Catalina, 2020-2025 Aurora, and 2025 Puma travel trailers. The Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) on the Federal placard may exceed the safety chain rating. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) numbers 110, "Tire Selection and Rims" and 120, "Wheels and Rims - Other Than Passenger Cars."
- The risk
- An incorrect weight rating may lead to unintentionally overloading the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
- The fix
- Forest River will mail owners a corrected Federal Placard with application instructions, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 24, 2025. NHTSA 25V245000- The defect
- Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Coachmen Catalina, Forest River Aurora, Cascade, Cedar Creek, Cherokee, Sandpiper, Sierra, 2025 Campsite Reserve, Impression, Pause, Puma, Sabre, Salem, Vengeance, and Wildwood fifth wheel and travel trailers, equipped with a removable step assembly. The clip-on bracket mounting bolts may come loose, allowing the steps to detach.
- The risk
- Steps that detach while in use increase the risk of injury.
- The fix
- Dealers will inspect and repair or replace the clip-on bracket as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 28, 2025. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING
NHTSA 25V264000- The defect
- Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Forest River Aurora and Coachmen Catalina travel trailers. Please see the 573 report for the complete list of model numbers. The front exterior accent lights, awning, and auto-leveling system may be incorrectly wired and not have proper over current circuit protection.
- The risk
- Wiring without circuit protection may become damaged and short circuit, increasing the risk of a fire.
- The fix
- Dealers will add circuit protection to the accent lights, awning, and auto leveling system, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 29, 2025. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-825-4995. Forest River's number for this recall is 300-1922.

NHTSA 25V682000- The defect
- Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Forest River Aurora, Coachmen Catalina, 2026 Coachmen Viking, Coachmen Clipper, 2016-2026 Wildwood, and Salem recreational trailers. The distribution panel wire may be connected to the battery without over current protection.
- The risk
- Unprotected wiring can increase the risk of a fire.
- The fix
- Dealers will relocate the distribution panel wire to the correct side of the breaker, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 18, 2025. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-825-4995. Forest River's number for this recall is 205-1987.

NHTSA 25V149000- The defect
- Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2025 Aurora ART26BHS travel trailers. The electrical connector for the air conditioner may have strands of wiring exposed, which can cause electrical arcing.
- The risk
- Electrical arcing increases the risk of a fire.
- The fix
