NHTSA 20V186000- The defect

- The risk
- A loss of braking ability can increase the risk of a crash.
- The fix
- BRP will notify owners, and dealers will install a reinforcement bracket, free of charge. The recall began April 1, 2020. Owners may contact BRP customer service at 1-888-272-9222. BRP's number for this campaign is Bulletin 2020-5.

NHTSA 23V175000- The defect
- Bombardier Recreational Products, Inc. (BRP) is recalling certain 2020-2023 Spyder RT and 2022-2023 Ryker motorcycles. The brake lights may stay illuminated even if the brake pedal is not pressed. Owner notification letters were mailed March 17, 2023. Owners may contact BRP Customer Service at 1-888-272-9222. BRP's number for this recall is 2023-6.

Checking your own vehicle
A recall applies to a range of VINs, not to every 2020 Can-Am Spyder Rt built. To confirm whether yours is affected, find the 17-character VIN, on the frame, usually near the footwell or under the seat, and enter it in NHTSA's official lookup.
Repairs for safety recalls are free and never expire. A dealer cannot charge you, and cannot refuse on the grounds that the vehicle is old or out of warranty. If one does, call the NHTSA hotline on 1-888-327-4236.
