What this recall covers
- The defect
- PJ Trailers is recalling certain 2021 C4, C5, U8, UL, U6, and UC trailers equipped with axles that may have missing inner bearings.
- The risk
- A missing inner bearing can cause excessive vibration, which over time could result in wheel separation, increasing the risk of a crash.
- The fix
- PJ Trailers will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the trailer axles and replace the idler axles, hub subassemblies, washers, and dust covers, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on March 25, 2021. Owners may contact PJ Trailers customer service at 1-866-752-8781.
