What this recall covers

The defect
Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2019 Coachmen Viking recreational trailers, models T17BHS and T17FQS. The Federal Placard states that the tires have an inflation pressure of 65 PSI, when the tires actually require 75 PSI. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."
The risk
The incorrect Placard could cause the operator to underinflate the tires, possibly causing tire failure, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix
Forest River has notified owners and provided a corrected Federal Placard, free of charge. The recall began May 31, 2018. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-269-467-8281. Forest River's number for this recall is 121-0734.
Notes
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

Is my vehicle affected?

Being on this list means your year, make and model fall inside campaign 18V334000. It does not mean your individual vehicle does: a campaign covers a range of VINs built in a specific window, and vehicles either side of that window are untouched.

Check the 17-character VIN from the driver-side dashboard or door jamb against NHTSA's lookup. If it is covered, the dealer must do the work free of charge, regardless of the vehicle's age or mileage.
