What this recall covers
- The defect
- Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2018 RAM ProMaster City vehicles. The Tire Placards on these vehicles may indicate the incorrect total number of occupants allowed. - The risk
- If the tire placard indicates an incorrect seating capacity, the operator may overload the vehicle, which can cause tire failure, increasing the risk of a crash.
- The fix
- Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will install a corrected tire placard, free of charge. The recall began March 15, 2018. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is U17.

Is my car affected?
Being on this list means your year, make and model fall inside campaign 18V129000. It does not mean your individual car does: a campaign covers a range of VINs built in a specific window, and cars either side of that window are untouched.
Check the 17-character VIN from the driver-side dashboard or door jamb against NHTSA's lookup. If it is covered, the dealer must do the work free of charge, regardless of the car's age or mileage.
