The defect
Tiffin Motorhomes, Inc. (Tiffin) is recalling certain model year 2015-2017 Allegro Open Road motorhomes manufactured April 1, 2015, to September 16, 2016. The affected vehicles have a tow hitch with a weight capacity sticker that may indicate an incorrect weight capacity.

Is my vehicle affected?

Being on this list means your year, make and model fall inside campaign 16V692000. It does not mean your individual vehicle does: a campaign covers a range of VINs built in a specific window, and vehicles either side of that window are untouched.

Check the 17-character VIN from the driver-side dashboard or door jamb against NHTSA's lookup. If it is covered, the dealer must do the work free of charge, regardless of the vehicle's age or mileage.
