What this recall covers
- The defect
- Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain model year 2014-2016 Tuscany motorhomes manufactured February 28, 2013, to August 31, 2015. The throttle pedal position sensor on the affected vehicles may not return to zero, causing the engine brake to suddenly not activate as expected, reducing the vehicle's deceleration ability.
- The risk
- A sudden loss of an engine brake without warning on a motorhome may lead to a reduced brake capacity, potentially increasing the risk of a crash.
- The fix
- TMC will notify owners, and dealers for Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA), manufacturer of the motorhome chassis, will replace the throttle pedal, free of charge. The recall began on July 15, 2016. Owners may contact TMC customer service at 1-877-500-1020 or Daimler Warranty Campaign Department at 1-800-547-0712 or by email at [email protected]. TMC's number for this recall is RC000119.
- Notes

Is my vehicle affected?
Being on this list means your year, make and model fall inside campaign 16V469000. It does not mean your individual vehicle does: a campaign covers a range of VINs built in a specific window, and vehicles either side of that window are untouched.
Check the 17-character VIN from the driver-side dashboard or door jamb against NHTSA's lookup. If it is covered, the dealer must do the work free of charge, regardless of the vehicle's age or mileage.
