What this recall covers
- The defect
- Tiffin Motorhomes is recalling certain model year 2014-2016 Allegro Phaeton and 2015-2016 Allegro Bus trucks manufactured October 1, 2014 to August 1, 2015, equipped with certain ZF RL77 / 80EM independent front steering axles equipped with Bosch 8018 steering boxes. Is my vehicle affected?
Being on this list means your year, make and model fall inside campaign 16V397000. It does not mean your individual vehicle does: a campaign covers a range of VINs built in a specific window, and vehicles either side of that window are untouched.
Check the 17-character VIN from the driver-side dashboard or door jamb against NHTSA's lookup. If it is covered, the dealer must do the work free of charge, regardless of the vehicle's age or mileage.
