What this recall covers
- The defect
- Newmar Corporation (Newmar) is recalling certain model year 2015 Ventana, and 2015-2016 Ventana LE vehicles manufactured January 16, 2015, to January 13, 2016 built on Freightliner Chassis. The affected vehicles may have a front rim maximum pounds per square inch (psi) rating of 120psi which is lower than the Michelin tires maximum inflation rating of 130 psi.
- The risk
- If the tires are inflated to their maximum pressure, the rims may suddenly fail due to being over pressurized, increasing the risk of a crash.
- The fix
- Newmar will notify owners, and at the owner's choice dealers will either install a new Federal Tag Label with the correct psi rating or install 130 psi rated front rims. The recall began on March 22, 2016. Owners may contact Newmar customer service at 1-574-773-7791.
- Notes
- Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

Is my vehicle affected?
Being on this list means your year, make and model fall inside campaign 16V055000. It does not mean your individual vehicle does: a campaign covers a range of VINs built in a specific window, and vehicles either side of that window are untouched.
Check the 17-character VIN from the driver-side dashboard or door jamb against NHTSA's lookup. If it is covered, the dealer must do the work free of charge, regardless of the vehicle's age or mileage.
