What this recall covers
- The defect
- Southeast Toyota Distributors, LLC (SET) is recalling certain model year 2015 Sienna vehicles manufactured September 1, 2014, to April 13, 2015 and equipped with overhead entertainment accessories installed by SET. During reassembly of the interior after the overhead entertainment system installation, a trim panel securing clip may have been reused instead of being replaced.
- The risk
- If the clip was damaged during the entertainment system installation, in the event of a side curtain air bag deployment, the trim panel may detach and strike one of the vehicle occupants, increasing the risk of injury.
- The fix
- SET will notify owners, and dealers will replace the trim panel securing clip, free of charge. The recall began on May 22, 2015. Owners may contact SET customer service at 1-866-405-4226. SET's number for this recall is SET15B.
- Notes
- Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.

Is my car affected?
Being on this list means your year, make and model fall inside campaign 15V236000. It does not mean your individual car does: a campaign covers a range of VINs built in a specific window, and cars either side of that window are untouched.
Check the 17-character VIN from the driver-side dashboard or door jamb against NHTSA's lookup. If it is covered, the dealer must do the work free of charge, regardless of the car's age or mileage.
