EQUIPMENT:OTHER:LABELS
NHTSA 22V784000- The defect
- Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2023 Magnitude and Omni vehicles. The Occupant and Cargo Carrying Capacity (OCCC) Label states the incorrect number of seat belts, indicating that there are more seat belts available than there actually are. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 120, "Wheels and Rims - Other Than Passenger Cars."
- The risk
- The incorrect seat belt information may result in occupants being transported without available seat belts, increasing their risk of injury.
- The fix
- Dealers will replace the label, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 10, 2022. Owners may contact TMC customer service at 1-877-855-2867. TMC's number for this recall is RC000281.
STRUCTURE:EMERGENCY:ESCAPE/EGRESS/EXIT

- The fix
- Dealers will replace the emergency exit window, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 5, 2024. Owners may contact TMC customer service at 1-877-500-1020.

Checking your own RV
A recall applies to a range of VINs, not to every 2023 Thor Motor Coach Omni built. To confirm whether yours is affected, find the 17-character VIN, on a plate near the entry door, inside a cabinet, or on the trailer tongue for a towable, and enter it in NHTSA's official lookup.
Repairs for safety recalls are free and never expire. A dealer cannot charge you, and cannot refuse on the grounds that the RV is old or out of warranty. If one does, call the NHTSA hotline on 1-888-327-4236.
