3 recalls on the 2022 Winnebago Inspire

SEAT BELTS:CRITICAL FASTENERS

NHTSA 23V365000
The defect
Winnebago Industries, Inc. (Winnebago) is recalling certain 2020-2023 Winnebago Shell, 2021-2023 Winnebago Inspire, 2022-2023 Winnebago Vista, Adventurer, Forza, Journey and Itasca Sunstar motorhomes. The seat belt attachment may have been improperly tightened. As such these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."
The risk
A loose seat belt attachment may not properly restrain the occupant in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
The fix
Dealers will inspect and tighten the seat belt attachment fasteners, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 24, 2023. Owners may contact Winnebago at 1-800-537-1885. Winnebago's number for this recall is 175.

The risk
A circuit board that overheats increases the risk of a fire.
The fix
Dealers will replace the cooktop control panel, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 5, 2024. Owners may contact Winnebago customer service at 1-641-585-6939 or 1-800-537-1885. Winnebago's number for this recall is 184.

The risk
An insufficient support underneath the step well cover can allow the step to collapse when stepped on, increasing the risk of injury.
The fix
Dealers will replaced the 0.75 inch support surface to 1.50 inches, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 26, 2022. Owners may contact Winnebago customer service at 1-641-585-6939 or 1-800-537-1885. Winnebago's number for this recall is Recall 167.

Checking your own RV

A recall applies to a range of VINs, not to every 2022 Winnebago Inspire built. To confirm whether yours is affected, find the 17-character VIN, on a plate near the entry door, inside a cabinet, or on the trailer tongue for a towable, and enter it in NHTSA's official lookup.

Repairs for safety recalls are free and never expire. A dealer cannot charge you, and cannot refuse on the grounds that the RV is old or out of warranty. If one does, call the NHTSA hotline on 1-888-327-4236.
