3 recalls on the 2021 Winnebago Adventurer

The defect
Winnebago Industries, Inc. (Winnebago) is recalling certain 2021 Revel, Vista, Sunstar, and Adventurer Motorhomes. The power bed motor may experience an internal gear failure, causing the bed to extend prior to the safety strap engaging.
The risk
A bed that falls unexpectedly increases the risk of injury or death.
The fix
Winnebago will notify owners, and dealers will replace the power bed motor, free of charge. The recall began December 16, 2020. Owners may contact Winnebago customer service at 1-641-585-6939 or 1-800-537-1885. Winnebago's number for this recall is 164.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING:TURN SIGNAL

NHTSA 26V177000
The defect
Winnebago Industries, Inc. (Winnebago) is recalling certain 2017 Brave, 2019 Itasca Sunova, 2019-2022 Adventurer, and 2022 Sunstar motorhomes. The front turn signals may have a smaller than required luminous lens area. As such these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) Number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
The risk
A small lens can make it difficult for other drivers to see the turn signal, increasing the risk of a crash.
The fix
Dealers will replace the turn signals, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 8, 2026. Owners may contact Winnebago Customer Care at 1-800-537-1885. Winnebago's number for this recall is 203.

The hood bracket adhesive may have been incorrectly applied which can allow the bracket to detach.
The risk
A detached hood bracket may become a road hazard and increase the risk of a crash.
The fix
Dealers will inspect and repair as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters began being mailed January 31, 2025. Owners may contact Winnebago at 1-800-537-1885. Winnebago's number for this recall is 192.

Checking your own RV

A recall applies to a range of VINs, not to every 2021 Winnebago Adventurer built. To confirm whether yours is affected, find the 17-character VIN, on a plate near the entry door, inside a cabinet, or on the trailer tongue for a towable, and enter it in NHTSA's official lookup.

Repairs for safety recalls are free and never expire. A dealer cannot charge you, and cannot refuse on the grounds that the RV is old or out of warranty. If one does, call the NHTSA hotline on 1-888-327-4236.
