1 recall on the 2020 Forest River Xlr Toyhauler
WHEELS
NHTSA 20V767000- The defect
- Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2020-2021 XLR Boost Toy Hauler recreational vehicles. The Federal Placard and Cargo Carrying Capacity (CCC) label may state a lower weight than the actual weight. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 120, "Wheels and Rims-Other Than Passenger Cars."
- The risk
- An inaccurate weight on the Federal Placard can cause the vehicle to be overloaded, possibly causing damage to the tires and increasing the risk of a crash.
- The fix
- Forest River will notify owners and will provide a new Federal Placard and replace any damaged tires, free of charge. The recall began January 8, 2021. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-642-0432. Forest River's number for this recall is 79-1257.

Checking your own RV
A recall applies to a range of VINs, not to every 2020 Forest River Xlr Toyhauler built. To confirm whether yours is affected, find the 17-character VIN, on a plate near the entry door, inside a cabinet, or on the trailer tongue for a towable, and enter it in NHTSA's official lookup.
Repairs for safety recalls are free and never expire. A dealer cannot charge you, and cannot refuse on the grounds that the RV is old or out of warranty. If one does, call the NHTSA hotline on 1-888-327-4236.
