1 recall on the 2017 Forest River Wolf Pack

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:ALTERNATOR/GENERATOR/REGULATOR

NHTSA 17V708000
The defect
Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2017-2018 XLR Toyhauler, Vengeance and Wolf Pack recreational trailers equipped with an optional generator. The generator's exhaust pipe is mounted too close to the trailer's plastic underbelly.
The risk
The generator's exhaust may melt the trailer's underbelly, increasing the risk of a fire.
The fix
Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the routing of the exhaust pipe, lowering it away from the plastic underbelly, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on December 4, 2017. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-260-499-2100. Forest River's number for this recall is 73-0535.

Checking your own RV

A recall applies to a range of VINs, not to every 2017 Forest River Wolf Pack built. To confirm whether yours is affected, find the 17-character VIN, on a plate near the entry door, inside a cabinet, or on the trailer tongue for a towable, and enter it in NHTSA's official lookup.

Repairs for safety recalls are free and never expire. A dealer cannot charge you, and cannot refuse on the grounds that the RV is old or out of warranty. If one does, call the NHTSA hotline on 1-888-327-4236.
